Saliva and Hair Sample Screenings

The Fitness Architect offers a number of simple and non-invasive saliva screens which provide a direct link to monitoring your hormone levels. The saliva sample will measure the amount of "free" or "unbound" hormones in the body’s systems and subsystems- the actual active form of the hormone that brings about responses in the body.

Along with saliva tests, The Fitness Architect offers a safe, easy-to-use, reliable screen that uses a hair sample to measure your body’s levels of minerals and toxins. Hair samples show the long-term accumulation of minerals and toxin elements in your system as hair is nourished from your bloodstream and tends to "store" any stray chemicals that come its way.

Here is a list of our saliva and hair sample screens:

• FemaleCheck - uses a simple saliva sample to assess estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone levels. Balanced levels of these three hormones are essential. These hormones effect: PMS, menstrual cycle, pregnancy, menopause, skin elasticity, lean body mass, muscle and bone development, sleep patterns, various physical and emotional responses.

• MaleCheck - measures levels of testosterone and DHEA. These two hormones effect: lean body mass, muscle and bone development, sleep patterns, immune system, stress response, sex drive, sex function and energy levels.

• PerformanceCheck - assesses the levels of testosterone, cortisol, and DHEA for those who are active participants in athletic exercise. Proper levels of these hormones support peak athletic performance, optimal energy levels and proper immune system function, as well as stronger bone and muscle tissue.

• MineralCheck - using a hair sample, measures levels of 11 essential minerals including: Calcium, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Strontium, Sulfur, Vanadium, Zinc and 9 toxic elements including: Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Bismuth, Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Nickel and Tin. Essential minerals are a factor in cellular function and are necessary for the body’s structural and metabolic functions, in part, enzyme reactions. Toxic elements can affect many areas, including brain function and activity, kidneys, blood flow, sleep and digestion.

Note: All screens are mailed to a laboratory for analysis and results are mailed back to the client within 7-10 days.
